The Tanzania Clean Cooking Project (TCCP)

Project Overview – Tanzania Clean Cooking Project (TCCP)
The Tanzania Clean Cooking Project (TCCP), implemented by the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) with funding from the

Government of Sweden, is a three-year initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of clean cooking solutions and reducing energy poverty across Tanzania. The project promotes private sector participation and innovation to make clean cooking technologies more affordable and accessible, reaching at least 60,000 beneficiary households.

As a key technical partner, the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) provides specialized business development and operational efficiency support to nine investee companies in the clean cooking sector. IMED’s role includes assessing production and sales inefficiencies, developing cost analysis frameworks, designing market and customer engagement strategies, and building capacity in management, governance, and financial systems.

Through its interventions, IMED is enhancing the competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the investee companies, thereby contributing directly to the growth and resilience of Tanzania’s clean cooking ecosystem.
